A popular street food in Vietnam, “Pho” is a type of authentic Vietnamese soup that usually consists of bone broth, rice noodles, spices, and thinly sliced meat (usually beef). It’s often topped with herbs and bean sprouts.
“Pho” with bone broth is particularly healthy. Rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus, broth made from animal bones, star anise, and fish sauce can help you build up strength in your own bones. Ginger helps reduce joint pain and inflammation as well as herb and vegetables such as basil, cilantro, green onion, and chili peppers are highly nutritious. In addition, rice noodles are typically used in “pho”, and the dish is often gluten-free.
